How can your pharmacist help you?

Almost all of us are within a short walk or trip on public transport to a community pharmacy.  Many pharmacies are open in the evenings and weekends.  You don’t need an appointment, you can just drop in and ask to speak to the pharmacist.

Your pharmacist is a highly trained health professional who can talk to you in confidence about any of your health concerns. Pharmacists are the experts in medicines and can advise you about the medicines your doctor has prescribed, and also other medicines or products you may want to buy.

Local pharmacies also offer a range of services that you may not be aware of which could save you a trip to the GP and help improve your health such as blood pressure checks, emergency contraception, advice on how to stop smoking and support with weight loss.
